Hey everybody I want to let you know that I have undertaken the grueling task of getting the heck away from WordPress. I was so sick of the problems and updates I had to do all the time. I am now using my ezbloo system and I am integrating all my old posts into the new system. It sucks, but in the end, I will save bundles of time. I needed to keep things simple and that is why I created ezbloo. I'll have more on this later for you guys after I am done with the total integration of my old posts here. So if you are looking for a post and need it faster, shoot me an email and I will make it a priority. [email protected]

Many people out there are looking for ways to edit their website files via FTP, SFTP and FTPS. THere are many great ones out there. Below I am going to share some of the ones that I like to use and other ones that I do not use as much but are still good.

Paid and FREE Trials HTML and FTP Client Editors

Dreamweaver

Dreamweaver is brought to us by Adobe. It has great code hinting features for just about any type of computer language that you want to program for on the web. HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript just to mention a few. However I hate the FTP side of Dreamweaver. Dreamweaver has a habit of hanging up all the time and it seems like it is on all the versions. Another good feature of Dreamweaver is that it is cross platform compatible. It works on Windows and Mac machines. I have found the series below to be good for people looking to use Dreamweaver.

Microsoft Expression Web 4

There is a free version of this HTML editor. Microsoft Expression Web 4 of course is brought to us by Microsoft. You can see this video below for more information on the layout of this program.

Coffeecup HTML Editor

This is another editor brought to us by Coffeecup.com. I do not know too much about this editor and why should I when we have great free editors to take advantage of that will do the same thing? However if you are interested in Coffee Cup HTML editor here is a video to give you an overview.

FREE HTML and FTP Client Editors

Now you are speaking my language, FREE editors are great and do the EXACT same things as the other HTML editors do so why pay for it right?

NotePad Plus Plus or Notepad ++

For Windows this is my editor of choice. I have outlaid the use of Notepad Plus Plus in one of the previous posts on this website. Here is the video tutorial that I did on Notepad ++. The only drawback is that its not available on Mac machines.

Aptana Studio

Aptana Studio is an underdog in my opinion for HTML and FTP client editors. This is a great program and I did a tutorial on it. I have a lot of clients that use Mac systems and the great thing about Aptana studio is that it will work on either system!
