Hey everybody I want to let you know that I have undertaken the grueling task of getting the heck away from WordPress. I was so sick of the problems and updates I had to do all the time. I am now using my ezbloo system and I am integrating all my old posts into the new system. It sucks, but in the end, I will save bundles of time. I needed to keep things simple and that is why I created ezbloo. I'll have more on this later for you guys after I am done with the total integration of my old posts here. So if you are looking for a post and need it faster, shoot me an email and I will make it a priority. [email protected]

We now have an official new logo for our company. We did not really have one before and I am the reason why. I am so picky sometimes that I just can't stand even myself. Logo creating is a grueling process and I have helped several companies create logos and it does not get any easier. Sometimes we can come up with a great design and sometimes it takes a while. This logo will evolve I am sure but I stick to a few things when I create a logo.
  1. No more than 4 colors.
  2. Keep it simple
  3. Keep it unique
  4. Match the personality behind the business

My Logo creation process in Youngstown Ohio

The first thing that I do is look at what other people have come up with. That usually starts my creative juices flowing. After I come up with an idea I write it down and then draw a picture of the potential logo. I have had this picture in my mind for years but I actually never did anything with it. With the outline of the graphic I start experimenting with different color combination that I have on my website. Ill mess around until I run out of time or get tired of working on it. I'll go to different parts of the city that I live in and look at the signs around town. Youngstown has a lot of imagery and graphics all around it. That helped me pick a font somewhat. YSU or Youngstown State Universities logo was a real inspiration when creating mine. I actually had about 5 other people in on the logo creation and I drove them all nuts. :-)

Advice for Logo Creation

The best advice that I can give is to be patient with yourself. Logo's can evolve so if you have something that you like you can build on that. I went without a logo for years because I was not satisfied with what I had. Do not just look online for logos, get out and walk around town. Getting the blood flowing also helps creativity.

Good Articles on Logo Creation

I not only post on my website to help my clients I also post on here to help myself. Anytime that I get something useful that I want to remember I post about it.  SO if anyone takes the articles down I will have a record of it.
